1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all payments made on the Wedlancer Platform for the Wedlancer Premium subscription plan. All payments on the Platform are processed securely through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. By making any payment on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy in full.
This Policy is governed by the laws of India and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, India.

2. Nature of the Wedlancer Premium Subscription
Wedlancer Premium is a monthly subscription plan available exclusively to freelancers registered on the Platform. It is a digital service that activates immediately upon successful payment. The subscription amount is charged at the beginning of each billing cycle and grants the subscriber access to Premium features for that calendar month.
Premium features include:
- Multiple category listings on the freelancer's profile
- Second city listing for expanded geographic reach
- Priority placement in search results ahead of free users
- Premium badge displayed on the profile
- Expanded portfolio limits — 6 albums for photo-based categories; 1 Key link plus 6 additional video links for video-based categories

3. General Refund Position
All Wedlancer Premium subscription payments are non-refundable once successfully processed, except in the specific circumstances explicitly described in Section 5 of this Policy or as required by applicable Indian law.
We do not offer:
- Prorated refunds for any unused portion of a billing period
- Refunds on the basis of dissatisfaction with the number, quality, or outcome of leads received
- Refunds for any period during which Premium features were available but not actively used
- Refunds due to temporary unavailability or technical issues of the Platform, unless the downtime was continuous for more than 72 hours and directly caused by Wedlancer
By subscribing to Wedlancer Premium, you acknowledge and accept this no-refund position.

4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your Wedlancer Premium subscription at any time directly from your freelancer dashboard under the Subscription section.
Upon cancellation:
- Your Premium access and all associated features will remain fully active until the last day of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for the following month
- No refund will be issued for the remaining unused days of the current billing period
- Your profile will revert to the free plan at the start of the next billing cycle
- Any categories, city listings, or portfolio content that exceed free plan limits will be hidden (not deleted) until you either re-subscribe or adjust your profile to fit within free plan limits
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, not immediately upon request.

5. Circumstances Eligible for a Refund
A refund will be considered and processed only in the following specific and verifiable circumstances:
5.1 Duplicate Payment
If you are charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a technical error on our end or on Razorpay's end, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full upon verification. You must report the duplicate charge within 7 days of the transaction date.
5.2 Payment Debited but Premium Not Activated
If your payment was successfully debited from your account but your Wedlancer Premium subscription was not activated within 24 hours due to a confirmed technical failure on our end, we will either:
- Immediately activate your Premium subscription and extend it by the number of days affected, or
- Process a full refund of the payment — at your preference
You must report this issue within 7 days of the transaction date.
5.3 Wrongful Charge After Confirmed Cancellation
If you are charged for a new billing cycle after having successfully cancelled your subscription — and you have a confirmed cancellation record in your dashboard — the wrongful charge will be refunded in full. You must report this within 7 days of the transaction date.

6. Circumstances Not Eligible for a Refund
The following circumstances will not qualify for a refund under any condition:
- Change of mind after subscribing to Wedlancer Premium
- Dissatisfaction with lead quality or quantity — the number of leads, their seriousness, or their conversion is not within Wedlancer's control and does not constitute grounds for a refund
- Failure to use Premium features during the subscription period
- Temporary Platform unavailability of less than 72 continuous hours
- Profile not going live due to pending or rejected Government ID verification — ID verification is a separate process from subscription payment and the two are independent of each other
- Account suspension or termination due to a violation of our Terms of Use, Terms of Service, or Community Guidelines — no refund will be issued in such cases
- Dissatisfaction with search ranking or visibility — while Premium users receive priority placement, specific ranking positions cannot be guaranteed
- Disputes with studio owners — any loss arising from a failed engagement with a studio owner is not refundable under this Policy
- Requests made after 7 days from the transaction date — late refund requests will not be entertained regardless of circumstance

7. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund under Section 5 of this Policy, follow the process below:
Step 1 — Write to us at hello@wedlancer.in within 7 days of the relevant transaction date.
Step 2 — Use the subject line: "Refund Request — [Your Registered Email Address]"
Step 3 — Include the following in your email:
- Your full name as registered on Wedlancer
- Your registered email address and phone number
- The transaction ID or Razorpay payment reference number
- The date and amount of the charge
- A clear description of the issue and why you believe a refund is applicable
- Any supporting screenshots or documentation
Step 4 — Our team will review your request and respond within 7 working days of receiving all required information.
Step 5 — If your refund is approved, the amount will be credited to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, subject to your bank's or card issuer's processing time. Wedlancer does not control the speed of your bank's processing and cannot be held responsible for delays on their end.

8. Coupon Codes and Promotional Discounts
Wedlancer may from time to time offer promotional coupon codes that provide a discount on the Wedlancer Premium subscription price. The following terms apply to all coupons and promotional offers:
- Coupon codes have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash under any circumstances
- Coupons cannot be applied retrospectively to payments that have already been completed
- Coupons cannot be combined with any other offer, discount, or promotional code unless explicitly stated at the time of issue
- Coupons are non-transferable and may only be used by the individual to whom they are issued or made available
- Each coupon is subject to its own stated validity period and usage limit — expired or exhausted coupons will not be honoured
- Wedlancer reserves the right to withdraw or modify any coupon or promotional offer at any time without prior notice
If a valid coupon code failed to apply correctly at checkout due to a confirmed technical error on our end, and you were charged the full subscription price, write to hello@wedlancer.in within 7 days of the transaction with your coupon code and transaction details. We will review and credit the applicable discount if the error is confirmed.

9. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
We strongly request that you contact us at hello@wedlancer.in before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer.
If you believe an unauthorised or erroneous charge has been made to your payment instrument, reaching out to us first allows us to investigate and resolve the issue quickly and directly, which is typically faster than the chargeback process.
Consequences of unjustified chargebacks:
- Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us and allowing us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue may result in the immediate suspension of your Wedlancer account pending investigation
- Fraudulent, bad-faith, or unjustified chargebacks — including chargebacks filed for circumstances explicitly listed as non-refundable in Section 6 — may result in permanent termination of your account
- Wedlancer reserves the right to recover the disputed amount through legal means, including civil proceedings before the courts of Surat, Gujarat, India, in cases of fraudulent chargebacks

10. Refunds for Manually Activated or Admin-Adjusted Subscriptions
In certain cases, Wedlancer's admin team may manually activate, extend, or adjust a freelancer's Premium subscription as a goodwill gesture, correction, or part of a promotional arrangement. Such manually activated or adjusted subscriptions are non-refundable and are provided entirely at Wedlancer's discretion.

11. Changes to This Refund Policy
Wedlancer reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or an in-Platform notification at least 15 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Platform and subscription to Wedlancer Premium after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
Changes to this Policy will not apply retroactively to payments already made before the revised Policy takes effect.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Refund Policy is governed exclusively by the laws of India. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy or any payment made on the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, India.
